Re: Scientific Proof Of God

Do we provide our real names in Hebrew or do we use whatever King James decided to translate our names into?

Re: Casual conversation about being pro-social and atheist at the same time

All labels given by the religious. We are simply the default and they are the exception. I dont have a label. Actually, the prevalence of religion everywhere and at all times seems to show that there is something in the human mind that makes us tend to believe in sky daddy tales. I watched the Nova...

bet you don't feel so important after all... hFCP3f9clLY just cutting down to size As a video game player, I like the Assassins Creed because it's a catchy reminder that you are insignificant. That's my take. 1) It's a simulator and 2) you're allowed to do anything and you would only "do anything" ...

Re: Casual conversation about being pro-social and atheist at the same time

Australia definitely seems more chill than Tennessee. And the west coast experience sounds that way too. In the US though, the religiosity isn't just the south. In the military, a lot of conventions are Christian oriented. And a fair amount of leaders don't even think about that. My experience there...

Casual conversation about being pro-social and atheist at the same time

Ok. So I spent some time being publicly atheist. That worked very well in Charlottesville VA and to find some online groups (including here). Then I transferred to one of the hubs of Christianity: Tennessee. There, I shifted a little to focusing on collaborative pro-social things and being more priv...

Re: Now what are you playing now 2: Limited Collectors Edition

I'm working through Cyberpunk one crash at a time.

@tatt, Skyward Sword felt better to me on the Wii U. There's goodness there but the motion control constrains some of the immersive qualities.

I feel like we can get a lot more out of a thread that has that title. How can we move this forward?

Re: When men were real men

I figured real men wrote software when they weren't winning video game championships in dashing displays leaving their significant others breathless. I wasn't sure if that was on topic anymore due to the magic power of the forum.

Re: When men were real men

As a person who jumped from page 1 to page 11 of this thread, I'm now going to have to go back and read the bits in the middle so that I can figure out how the opening post about men being men turned into a comment about whalers.

I'm not even attempting to have a monogamous faithful relationship. On the other hand, I'm communicating that to my partner because I think she should have that information.

Re: Bigamy

The self assembling business or contract relationship works well until children are factored in. They did not not consent to any of the contracts. So the big questions arise when, say, wife 4 didn't give birth to any kids, but was the primary caretaker of three kids fathered by her husband with oth...
