Trains are driven too fast because the devil who sets the timetables knows the time is short, and the driver fears for his job. Signs of the coming recession like planes crashing and boats sinking (some scuttled too) and failing nightclubs mysteriously burning down. 
What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?
