They fight it out on the soccer field now.
The South just won 1-0 a few days ago in a WC qualifier. Today NK launched a "rocket" (read: missle test). Three months after I got here in '96, there was an incursion of 28 NK commandos who got stranded when their submarine crapped out off the east coast. They were chased for 2 months, living off roots, berries etc, before it was over. 27 killed, 1 captured wounded, 1 escaped back to the North. Of those killed, about half knelt and submitted to execution by their commander, who subequently offed himself. There have been smaller-scale repeat versions since, and there have been fatal naval clashes every other year or so in the Yellow Sea. It's a nagging, wimpy war, all things considered. Stubborn lot, these. I think they ought to shit or get off the pot, but nobody here is asking for my opinion. Tomorrow is just another day.
Genghis Khan vs China, c 1217. Glad I wasn't there. At least, not there
and Chinese.
Sorry if I rambled a bit. Nearing bedtime here.
