I'm aware of some genuine colour footage in circulation, such as some footage shot by a cameraman attached to the 42nd Infantry Division (apparently known as the "Rainbow division" because of its sleeve patch). That footage includes footage of the liberation of Dachau.

I can tell you right off that still is colorized.

Much as I love to see true colour footage of WW II, I'm aware that most footage of WW II is B & W. So to properly represent WW II, you'll need a lot of B & W to go with the colour.
As for the colourized stuff, I remember seeing some WW I footage of the Red Baron beside his plane, looking suspiciously coloured in all red when parts of it should have been left in the original streaky camouflage.
