I didn't mean that as an accusation to anyone in particular, orph. I understand, and I didn't take your words as an accusation. I think you're largely correct. Of course there are exceptions -- level-headed people who continue long into an argument. There are some of those here. (I think I'm one.) But in general you're right.
For me, as I alluded to, this particular argument in this particular venue is low on my list of priorities, and life isn't forever.

I stuck it out for what I consider to be a long time, too, but eventually the futility of it all became apparent. And then there's the list of priorities you mention.
