Which ironically, is exactly what he would be saying even if he got what he wanted. Since, as some liberals have foolishly admitted, the left's endgame is complete confiscation.
couldn't happen to a more deserving nation.

Privileges that get abused get revoked....rights are granted - not carved in stone tablets as the right wingdings want to claim.
1/4 million dead and injured each year from firearms........that's abuse......Davy Crockett died a fuck of a long while ago ...get over it. :coffee:

Firearm ownership is a right, not a privilege.

I, nor my firearms, have killed anyone. If you have a beer or a glass of wine at dinner and own a car, does that make you responsible for drunk driving deaths? Should we ban alcohol or cars which kill many thousands? I think not.

Your arguments are total garbage. Other people's stupidity and evil deeds are not my fault and I should not be punished for them.

The Senators and the Representative belong to us--the citizens. They work for us not the President. Obama's only role is to sign or veto bills. He's not entitled to any outcomes just because he wants them.

He needs to spend some more of our tax dollars on a party to feel better.

Someone needs to tell Biden to pull in that lower lip before it gets stepped on.
And the majority of the citizens want it passed.

Just a selfish minority want to obstruct it...

Well, congrats. Savor it while it lasts, because all shit like this will accomplish is to turn people like me who aren't anti-gun, against you. I mean, what the hell is wrong with background checks?
Other than the ones we already have. I've submitted and passed every one I've ever had for every gun I've ever bought.
That's good. But as I understand it, it is pretty easy to get around the background checks.
How is making ridiculous requirements that a person can't loan or gift a rifle to their own child or sibling or parent or best friend without doing a background check on them going to reduce gun violence?

Just have a civil war, the footage would be great and I'd imagine hilarious and grim, besides this year's summer season is looking terrible across all media atm. Give the public what it's given them for years Americans shooting each other, only this time do it live.

Should be a hoot!

Gun owners vs. anti-gunnners.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Strangely enough, civilised countries that have such requirements have very little gun violence.
The UK is an example.

Also, has anyone found the text of the bill? If so, can someone link to it?

Maybe the bill is ill-advised.

So of what utility would increased checks provide?
Are you one who thinks that criminals buy legally and submit to background checks?

Three dead in Boston - a terrorist outrage. Stop everyone who looks remotely suspicious, has a dark skin or looks vaguely middle eastern. Bring the country to a standstill.

8000 gun deaths a year (minimum)..well actually a price worth paying for our freedom..er too be ..er..terrified. Carry on..
