Didn't go to Bandito. Tines Roots Club was pretty sweet. Nice R&B/funk/rock'n'roll. I did see Death Threat, No Turning Back, The Mongoloids, Strength for a Reason, Cheap Thrills and New Morality Thursday June 25th, The Usual Suspects, The Autonomads, Damn Noisy Kids and GBO on Friday July 3rd, and four more bands including Direction Unknown, Mr. Blue Sky and Don't Run, We Are Your Friends tonight. Don't remeber what the fourth band was called, but they kinda sucked anyway.JOZeldenrust wrote:Concerts since may 10th:
Friday may 22nd: Lavalu, a local acid jazz group, and Miriam Moczko, a jazzy singer-songwriter
Friday may 29th: Lo-Lite, Tiger String Ensemble, lo-fi blues
Coming up:
Sunday june 21st: Tinez Roots Club, deep funk
Friday june 26st: Bandito, stoner rock
Last month was a bit heavy on dance events. I hope there will be more interesting gigs coming up.

Re: live music
I forgot about last Sunday, The Rhythm Junkies, a Belgian jazz/pop/rock group. They were pretty good. Today I saw a couple of new local bands, all really young kids. Nothing world shattering, but it was entertaining, and I might use a few of them as filler material next season. They get a chance o play on a real stage, we get a cheap act without ridiculous demands. Everybody wins!
