It gets them through having to actually explain something, when they don't actually know what the fuck they are talking about.

As far as Soldiers go, I don't feel much grief for them. They join up knowing that they will be called on to kill people, including the innocent, on orders from above. Getting killed is a chance they knowingly and willingly take. Our soldiers kill more innocent people than terrorists do.
I feel sorry for the relatives, not the soldier.

So, it was OK for the IRA to kill soldiers then, any time, anywhere? Even off-duty? Even if they were in a nom-com role? Even if they were somewhere other than in NI?

I'd argue that mil-pers is a military target 24/7/365... but I'm not arguing IRA with an Irishman.

Why not? After all, Irishmen argue over the IRA.

Last Irisshman on my family tree fought at the Boyne... it's hard to argue those issues against a national when you're a foreigner.

I read the attackers are Somalian? What is their background? What happened to them to make them capable of behaving this way? Have they been damaged by a vicious war?

I feel for the attacked man's family, friends and community.

At least one is of Nigerian extraction, if not both. They were probably born and raised in the UK.
