Yep, and they're not interested in eventual peace and harmony for humanity on Earth, but in glorification of 'God' and their own glory beyond 'Earthly death'. Totally fucking delusion driven justification for inhumane madness.

You're right, al_rawandi. There's no prescription for dealing with it. No theoretical 'right' way to proceed. There's just ideology v ideology ... fire with fire ... dog eat dog ... kill or be killed ... evolution 101.

WW1 & 2 were not big enough.

Im saying if one side completely eradicated the other in a massive conflict then that problem would be solved
Lionheart,

Unfortunately you are right. It would end that conflict. It is surprising that no one wants to admit this. The sad state of atheists is they think that there is some predetermined outcome, where if we are just really nice and don't make anyone mad, everyone will become a secularist and create states based on a uniform interpretation of human rights and dignity. This is false, there is no guarantee, there is no mandate from evolution (natural selection) for democratic societies to succeed and flourish. In fact there seems to be a strong selection bias for those societies most fanatically loyal and motivated.

It is shaping up to be a situation where we can continue to put up with the current state of terror attacks until a Muslim state or group gets an apocalyptic weapon and uses it, at which point all the jackasses with "coexist" bumper stickers can shut the fuck up, or we can begin to deal with the problem now using military superiority, which we still posses in abundance. It is only a matter of time before a group like al-Qaeda gets a nuclear or biological weapon... and then there will be nothing to stop them from using it. Already Hezbollah has adopted a flag with a mushroom cloud emblazoned upon it, what more do we need to get the hint that coexistence isn't really in their dictionary.
Yeah the annoying thing is the liberals will blame everyone else when that WMD terror attack comes, they wont ever take their share of responsibility.

Its like if we hadnt dealt with Saddam, that guy sooner or later would have been responsible for alot more death than he already was, and the liberals would have said well why didnt you do something about it sooner, and yet when we try to do something about it sooner we are called war mongerers.

They need to remove their rose tinted glasses and realise that not everyone in the world wants be in the same bed as the westerners... well actually they do want the bed they just dont wanna share it with us.

George W Bush was a twat for sure as are most politicians, Obama however i feel is more dangerous. He seems the kind to be waving peices of paper saying peace in our time, while our enemies make bombs.

The only way to eradicate war is to eradicate all ideology.
Every single possible doctrine, philosophy or code of ethics, every difference of opinion, every notion of individual thought.
Is it worth it?

People will always take ideology to the extreme - to the point where even having only one isn't enough, because you won't adhere to it as rigidly as some others who think their way is the right way.

You won't eradicate ideology unless you eradicate all of humanity.

Violence must be applied apocalyptically or not at all.

Those are some pretty sweeping statements about liberals.

So, what is your suggestion then for a solution, aside from blaming liberals for blaming conservatives? Since you say that for Hezbollah coexistence is not an option, what then is our option? The same thing, no chance of coexistence? Preemptive strike?
