Even a trvial thing like Trump's name on a building results in endless appeals

The Trump administration also filed an appeal with the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday. If the court does not issue a stay pending action on that appeal, Trump’s name will be removed from the building by Friday night.

Trump railed against the decision afterward, calling Cooper “crooked.”

In the days that followed, the Kennedy Center’s Office of General Counsel issued notices to staff to refer to the organization by its original name. Trump’s name was dropped from the Kennedy Center website and in its communications to members.

But the board appeared to pivot on Thursday, voting to seek a stay of Cooper’s ruling.
