I was looking around the net for some more lolcats this morning and came across a sceptics site I have not seen before - and there was a a lolcat there I will post separately. But the site is pretty interesting too. It's here, and here's a graphic I got from there too.

And how exactly is monotheism more 'advanced', sophisticated, or subsequent to polytheism and tribal animism???

Well there's a built in assumption from your statement that evolution implies progress. It doesn't really - just change and adaptation to the environment and surroundings. To that extent the diagram is representational I would say.
