See, you're no better than we are. Churches are institutions of men and just as fallible. There are many paths to God's love.
And as this site and others prove, there are many paths away from it.

That is a misinterpretation of scripture made by Christian's and atheists alike. God never tortures. People do. Hell is separation from God, not a place of torture. From my perspective as a Chrisitan, I don't think Hell is a real place. It may simply be a nothingness. Your soul simply dies while those who accept God's love live for eternity.

The path to God is difficult. I grant you. I might not be on the right one either but i pray that i am. There is much wrong in religion. But so are there in your worldviews. I know many ex-Christians like you, brought up with hellfire, even abused by clergy, hearts hardened to finding the truth.. It is tragic. That doesn't prove God isn't real.
