Playing Dante's Inferno. Bit of a poor man's God of War. I guess it'll keep me going 'til the real deal comes out next week. Wish I could afford to get Tomb Raider also tomorrow.

Playing Fallout New Vegas again. I've never finished the game. It so much better as a RPG than that Steaming pile of turd called Skyrim.

The dumbing down of RPGs is a sad thing.

Play some dwarf fortress if the dumbing down is bothering you
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

In addition to the new Tomb Raider, it looks like I'll be re-installing Mass Effect 3 tomorrow.

I play Baldur's Gate once in a while, but I just can't get into it too much anymore for some reason. I wish they'd make a new Neverwinter Nights game.

I'm a gaming junkie if I let myself be but I feel really old when I come here to read what everyone is up to these days and on what!! No gaming at mo (except on iphone) as my tv blew up but I've only got an old PS2 which I still adore (mainly because it plays my old PS1 games aswell). I even used to play the N64 before my split (it was my partner's). So, what do I play? My all time addiction is the Silent Hill series, Tomb raider (I could get some for my mac, but it's about 5 yrs old now and won't play the new releases), Wipeout (in which I totally trounced my ex and my teenage son :) ), Deus Ex, Ico, Ratchet and Clank and Myst (a pleasurable torment). I'd like to get more oldies but they're ridiculously expensive now :(. Anyway, do I have geek status now? :begging:

You have awesome status now :awesome:

But then again you always did :awesome:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Just finished my first patrol in Silent Hunter 5. I came across a convoy with only one escort with three troop transport and 6 liberty cargo ships. 2 torpedoes broke the back of my first target, a juicy troop transport. 3rd torpedo broke the back of a liberty. 4th torpedo blasted a hole in another liberty but the damn thing kept on sailing. The escort started sniffing around so I only had time to wait for the crew to reload two of the four forward tubes before going evasive. 1st torpedo missed my intended target, but hit a liberty behind it - it also sailed on happily while burning with a large hole in its side. 2nd torpedo hit another liberty I targeted stopping it dead and it began to sink from the stern. It was at this point I was forced to take evasive maneuvers as the escort was bearing down directly on my position and only about 3km away. I took some minor damage from depth charges before gently settling my boat on the channel floor and waiting. My compressed air was leaking fast so I had to do something soon. I came up to periscope depth, raised my attack scope and surveyed the scene. The liberty that I assumed was sinking astern was still afloat but dead in the water and the rest of the convoy had continued on, with those two flaming liberty ships still sailing. The escort was ahead of them, but they seemed to be limping so I thought I might be able to catch them if I upped my motors to flank speed. I closed to within 5km of one of the wounded cargo vessels, but with my batteries now at 20% and my speed flagging as a result I opted to return to see if the lame duck had sunk. The damned thing was still afloat so I surfaced, the convoy long over the horizon now, and sent it to the bottom with my deck gun.

Patrol summary:
3 vessels sunk - 1 troop carrier, 2 liberty cargo vessels
2 vessels seriously damaged
4 crewmen injured and 3 officers injured
Minor damage to pressure hull and fore and aft batteries

I play full realism so I have to calculate most everything manually to find a firing solution (angle off the bow, speed, distance, bearing, etc..). If you don't like having to do quick math with pen and paper, then it probably isn't for you. :teef:

Well there is the Neverwinter MMO.

I used to love NWN. I was a DM on a couple of servers back in the day.
