Shame ... Their Off Topic section is a vibrant community of witty, intelligent people whose company I've enjoyed immensely when I've played mafia there .. but I just can't get past aspects of their mod culture and feel comfortable.

Problems started long ago and have only gotten worse because they've been unaddressed but, in a way, not to dissimilar to the problems our first 'splinter forum' faced.
I think that, over time, they'll either improve or bust. That happened to us as well.

I always feel, though, if I post any kind of a quip or anything not wholly serious or narrowly on-topic elsewhere that there's dead silence afterward and get the sense I'm being stared down at a bit scornfully. It's just a mood I sense... keep things siloed. I find it terribly off-putting.
