Devogue talks wine...

Post by devogue » Sat Dec 18, 2010 6:25 pm

Here's me talking shite about wine for ten minutes, from one of my favourite wineries (Seraph and Charlou love it as well). I've sent this out to my mailing list customers, so I thought I would annoy you all with it in The Seminary as well.

Let the lecture begin:

Dev, that circular rack beside you...are those beers?

Sorry, I'm an idiot. It's a little back in the distance now that I look at it. They looked like small bottles at first, but they're probably wine bottles after all
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

These ones are small...those ones are far away...

You were right first time - they are beers, including the full Samuel Smith's range of ales, lagers and porters and a number of microbrewery ales from Ireland.

Just noticed this ... Nice choice, dev. Visited Langmeil around a year ago and came away with a couple of cases and a few bottles of port. Elegant wines, indeed.

Did it sell well?

Off the back of that video I sold about 20 dozen of both wines tasted - approximately £2,400 of sales, but Langmeil's wines have always sold really well for me.

That would be a tasting that I would be falling over myself to get to. Wine? Meh. I just look at the % on the back and if it is red or white (rosé being for poofs)
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.
