Re: McDonald's Day 2
Maybe. But for now I'm seeing it as being an easy and safe place to put a vote, for gib.
Also, there was no questioning on the Feck or DP thing by him.

True. He said pretty emphatically that "we" weren't lynching DP today.
That's a strange thing with DP. I totally understand the tendency to want to play it safe with a miller. but I'm loathe to throw away a player who so clearly reads as town. sometimes what makes sense on paper by the numbers doesn't make game sense at all. You have to factor in more than that.

Hm, you're talking about the fact that we have a miller?oblivion wrote:True. He said pretty emphatically that "we" weren't lynching DP today.

I wasn't quite sure what you were talking about. About what it looks like on paper as opposed to actually playing the game. What did you mean?
Re: McDonald's Day 2
i mean that it's not a mathematical game. you don't say "this role is a net negative in the balance calculation so therefore lynch the player." you consider the player's behavior and track record of usefulness to town. and you constantly reevaluate based on what goes on in this game.Mantisdreamz wrote:^-^oblivion wrote:what?

Re: McDonald's Day 2
Re gib consideration. Is his town game to be all over one player, or a range of them? He's been gunning for squid and rubbed higgs the wrong way with the chumminess comment. They normally spar IIRC. This game it seems a bit token.
DP has been way more helpful than mono hence my vote today. Its my bedtime; I hope people put callan under the spotlight (my timezone isn't good for that).

Don't waste your time with any spotlights, people. I won't respond to pressure, other than to say you need to look elsewhere for the bad guys in this game.irretating wrote:Its my bedtime; I hope people put callan under the spotlight (my timezone isn't good for that).
Whatever anybody else may say to the contrary - and I mean ANYBODY - I am playing for Town to the best of my ability, and am very relieved not to have been one of the Squid-voters in the end.
Lynching me when I haven't made a single anti-Town move all game, when we have people like Mono who isn't even trying to be of any help to Town, and DP who cannot be of any help because he is simply unclearable would be a breathtakingly silly thing to do.
That's all I have to say on this subject.
I'll be back later when I've more time, and looking through today in more detail, in search of the real bad guys.

higgs what was the gist?
Re: McDonald's Day 2
One thing pther than it's good we dropped the whole feck thing isI said is that the one way I could see dp as indie/scum would be if he were coached and masons can be indies, otherwise he seems townie, and callan si acting goofy. "I haven't mad a single anti-town move all game" she is ready for mafia all starts. Inand out last night? I did check and ob saw me as she is a mod but I looked around, was happy with my vote so off to bed.
I'm going to be on a plan in a few hours so don't expect much from me until tonight.

omg I'm glad it posted, I got kicked off the thread and logged out after I hit submit. I'll be on a plane not a plan. I don't plan.

Oh, and I commented that it sounds like there is one evil indie who threatens us all, and it sounds like the others have town compatible wins. Does that sound right? Could the mean indie even threaten the other indies?

That would kinda work - if all the other indies are town compatible there must be a way the game design balanceshiggs2 wrote:Oh, and I commented that it sounds like there is one evil indie who threatens us all, and it sounds like the others have town compatible wins.
