So my kill didn't go through?oblivion wrote:Things you're probably wondering about:
- DennyB was an insane doctor. He had a 50% chance of killing the person he protected. Terrible luck that was for scum.
- mononoke didn't know he was a bomb.
There I was thinking I had done well.
Great game OB, was everyone a special?

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

So with the 50% chance did I actually protect Zig?

Yes, in both version everyone was a special, even the people who thought they were vanilla town. In the original version I had some nasty gotchas that I'll save for another game. It was better balanced, I think. It's a real shame I screwed it up. Still, scum had horrible luck. don elected mayor and killed by the doc (who otherwise would have protected him from the night vig) and the scum prostitute viewed on night 1 - though I think Gallstone's play was mostly responsible for that.

Yeah, one of the scum roles in the original was a nice little twist, I was worried about that in the reboot.oblivion wrote:Yes, in both version everyone was a special, even the people who thought they were vanilla town. I was convinced early game you were trying to pull a fast one DP.
It would have been a bold move though.

Nope, I was playing a straight game, there was no downside to me outing at that point, my bullet was gone and I was vanilla, seemed to spark a wave of town claims though.DennyB wrote:Typical..lolDon't Panic wrote:oblivion wrote:You didn't kill ghat - DennyB got there first via the protect.Don't Panic wrote:Oblivion, what happened night one?Goddamned doctors, killing patients left, right and centre.

I was getting pretty sure you were scum because of your trolley tracked approach.

Re: Star Trek TNG MARK 2 - Day 3 Q-Less
Luck really did play a huge part in this game. not just ghat getting killed by the doc, and galstones getting viewed early. The double kill claim cleared two people, a mason getting killed day one so we could clear anyone who made that claim. Me viewing higgs, who happened to be blocked and who happened to notice the clue that led to the scum roleblocker. Along with the fights ghat had on day one, I think I was down to a 6 person scum list that had three scum in it by noon of day 2. Just so very much went right for town.
