Re: Venture Bros: day 2
Hi, irre. I think MZ is town because his story makes sense to me. I am the other role blocker. I also tried to block mantis and think she is possible scum and should be lynched today, but I did not send my PM in time. I don't think I will be a very effective special, so might as well clear MZ now.irretating wrote:Hmm guys, look at gonzo more closely. I'd put him as scum, too. Jokey but careful not to commit to anything (in fact a nice smooth white knight on MZ.) Oh and remember DP pointed out that as scum gonzo talks about his scum buddies? Have a look at his interaction with mantis.

Don't go near that elevator - that's just what they want us to do... trap us in a steel box and take us down to the basement.
Re: Venture Bros: day 2
btw my reasoning for mantis being scum is mostly because aza said she should be grilled today before he was lynched, and he is better at this game than I am. XD

Re: Venture Bros: day 2
You know, it's not a bad option this early in the game, unless someone has a real strong feeling about someone being Scum.
I came in with a bad attitude (feeling sorry for myself about a game that ended just hours before this one started), determined to play differently (no hours spent reading and re-reading and making notes), and now I sit here looking like a suspicious jerk and not having any solid ideas.
One thing that did strike me (no matter what you guys decide about me), is that I really can't see how Charlou/Aza could have been Scum. Even needing to get out of the game for whatever reason, I figure a Scum player would have dropped a vote somewhere. Maybe even on a team member who wasn't in any serious danger, but certainly at least on a Town who was under heat. It would only have taken latching on to someone else's reasoning, and rewriting it a bit.

It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

Re: Venture Bros: day 2
charlou also outed from the Mario Party game before started. I wonder if something is up with her, and don't want to read into it too much as it would be unfair to her and Aza and Linus, but I could see her subbing out as scum more than I could see her doing that as town. She could have just told us she'd be away for awhile or whatever, whereas as scum she has more of an obligation to play actively.
Again, it's not really game play... so what's more important is what she has posted.

That's also why I had her as town yesterday. But I don't get Aza's takeover and not saying much.amok wrote:One thing that did strike me (no matter what you guys decide about me), is that I really can't see how Charlou/Aza could have been Scum. Re: Venture Bros: day 2
My problem at this stage is, I was pretty sure gib was Scum yesterday, but not so much today. I can't believe either Matt or MZ are Scum, because it really does make sense that there would be (at least) two Hanks. One of the reasons I was on gib, besides his suspicion of Irre for what I didn't see as a legitimate reason, was that I thought he was being unreasonable about MZ misunderstanding what Matt was suggesting about lynching both of them. Not really a good idea, in my opinion, but not Scummy. And not Scummy to misunderstand his reasoning, either. I've read that exchange over a few times, now, and I see where MZ was coming from.
So I'm left having too many people in my Town pile, and the leftovers are just on the fringe.

That was too hasty to be honest.
I shouldn't trust the judgement of some who has read the thread.

Gonzo, I'm not sure i understand you
Amok - I read it as both of them being confused. MZ seems town more so than Matt... but i don't think Matt is scum.

I know she did. It was a good, solid Town vote, done in the end rush. I was talking about her first post where she said she wouldn't.Magicziggy wrote:Charlou did vote yesterday
