In some parts of the US it could be worse than that even. The lucky will find a way to one of the former British colonies and we'll see what we can do at this end?

A lot of England is like America - New Orleans the day after Katrina. and that's just the good bits. Ooop North it's like Detroit, except without the vibrant economy.

I blame desegregation and the immigration act of 1965 :prof:
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Seen it. It's one of my favorites. The first five minutes are the funniest bits I've seen in a decade, and all too true.

Not a problem, we'll all convert our vehicles to natural gas, George Soros will get richer as a result (he owns 3 million shares of the company that converts diesels trucks to natural gas) and things will go along pretty much as usual.

No, Seth the survivor, who improvises, adapts and overcomes while the proletarian drones starve to death.

Showering once or twice a week, and living in 500 square foot homes? My god, the very suggestion is barbaric!

Not the same situation. The British Empire was competing with several emergent powers for the upcoming oil age bonanza and here in the first years of the twenty first century the US is competing with several other dwindling powers over the scraps left at the table with regards oil and other critical resources. The only outcome is very rapid decline for the top dogs here as they fight ferociously for the remaining resources - this isn't a upwardly mobile freeway, it is the road to hell. :smoke:
