In australia, we generally accept the small coins from new zealand as valid tender. So the 5, 10, and 20 cent pieces. And if our 50 cent pieces were the same shape, we'd probably accept them too. But now that the aussie dollar is up around the $1.30 nz, we can get a pretty good saving using nz money. So I should go to the bank and convert a whole lot aussie 5's, 10's and 20's to kiwi money, and then use it in our shops. As it's too early in the day, I refuse to do any mathematics; but that should be something like a 30% saving for things below a couple of dollars. So, if I took 150 trips to the supermarket to buy my monthly groceries, I could save 30% on my food bill. And also, if I filled my car up in 50 iterations, instead of 1, I could save heaps there too. I'm a genius!
