That one I DO recognise. Blohm & Voss BV-141 asymmetrical reconnaisance aircraft. I built a kit of that when I was about 10 years old.
So you built the old Airfix kit as well?
Having built it for the second time myself only a couple of years ago, I can only say the build experience does not improve with age. It was worth it though ... eventually.
Here are my pics of the completed model:

It was obviously a pre-WW II USN aircraft - the colour scheme, markings and general configuration were a give-away. I just had to work through a list.
Oh, and I'm still waiting for an answer to this post:

Looks like an air-brake. From the diameter of the fuselage I'd say it was mounted on a Dornier of some type.

Close enough. It's an air-brake from a Dornier 217.

Not a Schmetterling, that had a pointed nose. Possibly a Henschel HS 293, which used a similar guidance system, namely a small television camera in the nose, and a radio set receiving control inputs from a bomber crew member using a joystick to steer the missile. The operator sat in front of a small television receiver to view what the missile saw.

It often surprises people to learn that TV was demonstrated before WWII. When I bring up TV guided bombs they immediately assume I'm talking about Vietnam.

They've never heard of John Logie Baird? Who first rolled out a prototype television system in 1926, and built a working system for the BBC by 1932?

The Do 217 also used the Fritz-X glider bomb, and quite successfully too:

... and then there's the Azon:

Yeah, but they suffer from a deficit history education. I knew more about WWII than my teacher when I took "world" history in 1966. I'd just got done reading
Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.
