Ah. I think Woolworth's here was more of everything-- fabric yardage, home appliances, ready-to-wear clothing, furniture, toys, etc., etc. ...

I was curious and looked it up... apparently there's no connection between the Australian and the 5-and-10 American Woolworth's.

Well, one connection:
However, Woolworths Limited did take their name from the original company, as it had not been registered or trademarked in Australia at the time.

I do enjoy innuendo as long as it is accompanied by at least a trace of wit. Perhaps, instead of getting upset by my description of your post as an example of Benny Hillish, witless style of "humour", you might stop and think about the criticism for long enough to encourage you to actually want to drop witless innuendo.

Thanks for the suggestion. It is indeed regrettable that someone's totally innocuous remark that she works at a Woolworths store too has snowballed into someone else's angry comments that included "fuck off" twice. I'll just let this drop in this tread and say

Welcome, Cory. I hope you will come to appreciate and enjoy the open, boisterous and convivial aspects of this forum, and learn to ignore or otherwise deal with some others that are not so attractive.

Now we have two gay nazi boys. I thought they couldn't reproduce? Oh well, Lozzer won't be so lonely now.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
