I don't know what she's referring to - but it couldn't be the death of Richard’s father.

There is no charitable way to read her absolute insistence that she has no hand in his finances - with the obvious implication that she never has, nor never would. She is lying. She set up two LLCs in his name in the US, and she bought her current apartment with one of them.

I would also point out that she didn't say that Richard "does not want to deal with these matters directly for the time being" or "during this difficult period", or some similar phrasing. She stated that he ""does not want to deal with these matters directly any more" [sic]. It's not at all ambiguous what her meaning and intent is, there.

She may have been bullshitting somewhat even in what she was saying to Timonen in that email - but irrespective of the truth content of her words, she stated clearly that she was in charge of "all purchases made through his personal funds", and very clearly implied that this was a scenario that was to continue indefinitely.

And I daresay she very much desired such a scenario to continue indefinitely - which is why she was also insistent, in her emotionally manipulative, faux-ingenuous tone - that nobody should approach Richard about the situation to clarify the specific details of the arrangement as he understood them... or to question his sanity.

Josh's case against RDF has been settled out of court. One of his lawyers has told me in private correspondence that the specific terms of the settlement are confidential - but that it certainly could not be construed as a "victory" for RDF.

Things are now developing in interesting ways within RDF, and rippling into the wider Freethought community… I may not actually be able to say much for quite some time yet, but rather interesting things are happening…

Glad to hear it, sorry it's not universally well. I hope you get better and better. I know I am. Got a date with a nice Ukrainian lady in Tulsa this weekend. First time out of the gate since the ex shattered my confidence and heart.

Plus, I actually reached a goal for fitness and weight that I set 42 years ago: I hit 220 pounds. Now I'm headed for 200. Plus I can hike six miles with a 45 pound pack in exactly two hours, which is fitter than I've ever been in my life.
