Well seeing as Britain includes Scotland maybe not. The Romano British barrier of Hadrian's Wall was probably built to separate pro Roman Iron Age tribes from those that took the opposite view. But, the history of the barrier is very complicates and much discussed. It certainly wasn't a barrier (at that time) to separate English from Scots, they didn't exist in that form.

It was always going to finish this way. The very first polls said 55/45 and nothing much changed until a few anomalous polls just days before the vote - which could well have been scare tactics by the Nos to make sure to get their electorate out. Meh. :tea:
