STUDENTS, alumni and spectators snatched up 4,500 donated dildos at the University of Texas, preparing to assuage their frustration over a new state law allowing handguns to be carried on public university campuses.
The Texas Tribune reports that Cocks Not Glocks, a protest group, is urging students and others to openly carry the sex toys on campus, offering a multicoloured counterpoint to the concealed weapons that holders of handgun licences can now legally carry into lecture theatres.
"We want these dildos on backpacks as long as there are concealed handguns in backpacks," said Ana López, one of the Cocks Not Glocks organisers. The distribution event featured dildo juggling and the sale of T-shirts with an array of witty slogans and was a prelude to a campus rally.
