Pitt's interview with Ann Curry aired on Thursday's 'Today' show, and New Orleans' most prominent Katrina rebuilder thanks to his Make it Right Foundation joked about running for mayor of the Louisiana town, as locals have taken to wearing "Brad Pitt for Mayor" T-shirts.

"I don't have a chance," Pitt told Curry. "I'm running on the gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform."

Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie's answer about whether they will ever wed has been, for years, that they will get married when gay marriage is legalized.

The reformed family man also recently told Parade that he used to smoke "grass."

Say what you want, but I'm impressed he said that on national TV.

I too am impressed. Lately he seems to be speaking out more and more against religion. As a celebrity, I give him huge kudos for using his celebrity well.

And, for his fans, you may be pleased to know that he will be on the Bill Maher show tonight.

My only complaint is that silly hat and goatee he has been sporting lately. Otherwise, I agree he's babe i licious!

He's a hot and warm actor, for me. In his smaller films, 12 Monkeys, Seven, Fight Club, he was the ONLY man for those roles. IMHO sparks of genius. But in his generic "hero" roles, Troy, Mr+Mrs Smith, he coasts along and could have been played by any number of actors.




As for him being a non-theist. Fucking "A".
