Why not? Surely, you and they aren't afraid of a little investigation? All we'd be learning is the truth.... nothing more. :funny:

Remember, the DOJ, prosecutors, teams of investigating agents, and the Special Counsel's office are staffed by hard-working, focused officials who toil thanklessly with only one thing in mind, the good of the country....
To what end? There is no evidence of a conspiracy and there is nobody to remove from office.
Oh! This time we need "evidence" in order to start the investigation! That must have changed since 2016. :funny:

Before it was the lack of evidence that demanded the investigation...

A couple of things to remind people that Trump has not been exonerated from being a malicious piece of shit.
Donald Trump nominates man whose firm tripled price of insulin to regulate drug companies

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos defended plans to slash funding for the Special Olympics during a testimony before a House subcommittee, saying the department “had to make some heavy decisions.”

And also to again remind you to stop letting Conservatives control the conversation.

The evidence was there. They met with Russians at Trump Tower.

Oh! So, that's evidence?

O.k. - Lawyers representing the Democratic National Committee met with FBI officials weeks before the 2016 election specifically regarding an investigation concerning Russia - this is the firm Perkins Coie which the Clinton Campaign used to pay Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele to compile the dossier, which was then used as the main evidence to obtain FISA warrants. See the Testimony of FBI general counsel James Baker who testified that Michael Sussman, a former US Department of Justice Lawyer lawyer, was the Perkins Coie (attorneys for the Democratic National Committee) attorney who reached out to FBI general counsel Baker. Baker said the Democrat National Committee's attorney gave him documents and a thumb drive.

So, a special counsel ought to get to the bottom of the Clinton campaign and the DNC's attempts to use the FBI and intelligence agencies to hijack the 2016 election and falsely suggest that the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians.

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Prosecutor: Grand jury in Russia probe ‘continuing robustly’
The case in court Wednesday centered on a corporation owned by a foreign government, neither of which have been identified. The corporation was held in contempt for refusing to turn over information demanded by Mueller’s investigators. The Supreme Court had rejected an appeal from the corporation on Monday, and the case is now being handled by prosecutors in Washington.

The corporation has been racking up fines of $50,000 a day for not complying with the grand jury subpoena for documents. Fines have been accruing since Jan. 15 and could total more than $3.5 million. New daily fines stop once the grand jury is discharged.

The hearing came after attorneys for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press filed a motion seeking to unseal some court filings tied to the subpoena fight that developed during Mueller’s investigation.

During Wednesday’s hearing, Chief Judge Beryl Howell asked prosecutors whether a grand jury investigation was continuing despite Mueller handing over his report last week.

“I can say it is continuing robustly,” Goodhand responded.

The judge did not say whether she would release the name of the corporation or country. Attorneys for the mystery corporation attended the hearing Wednesday, only to say their client would prefer not to be publicly outed and would also prefer not to say why in open court.

Waters, who is working with House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff, D-Calif., on an investigation into the president’s finances, is also investigating the bank itself for potential financial crimes.

In 2017, Deutsche Bank was fined $630 million by the Justice Department for laundering money out of Russia.

Trump’s relationship with the bank has also caught the eye of New York Attorney General Letitia James, who issued a subpoena to Deutsche Bank earlier this month for records related to its financing of four Trump Organization projects, as well as failed effort to buy the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, according to the New York Times.

Seriously, what the fuck is the point of an independent special counsel if the results of the investigation end up getting filtered through the hands of a partisan appointee who was appointed by one of the primary subjects of the investigation, who has a history of helping fellow Republicans escape justice (Iran-Contra), and who wrote a memo in which he argued that the Mueller probe was ill-conceived and that a sitting president, simply by virtue of the office that he holds, is incapable of obstructing justice.

This whole thing stinks to high heaven. It even stinks on ice. What a ridiculous goddamn farce.

Yeah this is not going to work. Trump claiming that ”they” messed up and he wants to fix it. It was the Republicans that failed and even after the 2018 election no laws pass unless Trump signs them. So Trump IS the government. Any failure is his:

Yeah, Trump is a 'shrewd businessman.' :funny:

'“No man’s land”: How Trump Tower became Chicago retail’s biggest failure'
About a year before the 2005 groundbreaking for Trump International Hotel & Tower, Trump Organization executive Charles Reiss met the late Chicago real estate broker Bruce Kaplan and his colleague, Leslie Karr. The Trump family, Reiss said, wanted advice on how to market the retail space that would face the Chicago River at the tower’s base.

“The way it’s designed now, it’s never going to lease up,” Karr recalls telling Reiss. The roughly 70,000-square-foot deck’s 10-foot ceilings, undulating facade and sunken location would be too awkward to attract customers, she said.

...

A decade after the tower opened in 2009, it has just one retail tenant, a salon that occupies an enclosed 3,400-square-foot suite above the hotel lobby. The entire deck-level space remains empty, its blank beige walls on full display for the millions of tourists who stroll along the river each year. No part of it has ever been leased, according to Trump Organization tax appeal documents filed in Cook County and analyzed by The Real Deal.

...

The attorneys estimated the retail’s potential net revenue around $1.7 million for 2018. At that amount, the Trump Organization would have lost out on more than $17 million in potential revenue since the building’s opening. And if the building had ever leased at the $100-plus rents the Trump Organization once hoped for, the money left on the table is multiples of that.

The loss puts a sizable dent in the Trump Organization’s annual income for the tower, which President Trump reported in an ethics disclosure tallied $8 million in 2017.

...

The decade-long vacancy sets a record for Downtown Chicago’s retail market in the modern era, according to Colliers International. No other retail site larger than 5,000 square feet has sat on the market for this long.
