Hefty price tag, though -- for the 300 mile battery, it's $77,000 and then extra for the quick-charge contraption. And, the quick charge is 45 minutes to charge up to 80% of the battery. So, figure that's ideal, so it'll be 1 to 1 1/2 hours to get 50% charge. And, figure the 300 mile battery is really a 200 mile battery. But, still, not bad.
But, man, we may finally be seeing viability on the horizon with these things.
One question mark in my mind is battery life. How long before the battery stops holding as much charge or starts losing charge faster? How often will the battery need to be replaced and what is the cost?
