That’s creepy. But, she brought this on herself, and she has an easy exit —just acknowledge she wasn’t qualified and had nothing of the stuff Americans need in a leader, and walk away. :dunno:

Trump Watches While His Party Implodes
https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/ ... p-00121381
That is because, for now, Trump is the only leader with a durable following within the modern Republican Party. That’s true even as the GOP is filled with people who quietly wish he would go away and a smaller number of would-be leaders who loudly advocate for that — so far to negligible effect. So far, no Republican has managed to emerge as a genuine leader in the Trump era — not by seeking alliance with him, nor by standing up to him, nor by trying keep a safe distance from him.

Man wants to be speaker. Lucky for us he has no idea how to pass laws.

Heck, he sucks at chairing a committee. The House Judiciary Committee hearings I've watched have been circuses and he can barely keep order.

Plus, he keeps losing his jacket. :hehe:

What's really sad is that we were warned of this by no less than George Washington in 1796.

Threads: Hakeem Jeffries shreds Jim Jordan.
Fun fact. Jordan ranks 432 out of 435 people in Congress for effectiveness. He has never achieved one single thing.
Aside from helping to organize the Jan 6 riots I guess.

That seems like nonsense to me.

Jordan has always been a thoroughgoing turkey (in British, a muppet). In 2017 the former Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner described Jordan as a 'legislative terrorist' going back to his time in the Ohio legislature. Boehner should know, being from Ohio himself. He later said, 'I just never saw a guy who spent more time tearing things apart ― never building anything, never putting anything together.'

So he's basically the boy invited to your kid's 5th birthday party who jumped all over the furniture and then pulled the tablecloth off and stomped on the cake?

Elsewhere:
Since 1995 there have been three shutdowns more than five days long, the longest (2018-19) was 35 days. We’ve managed to survive so far.

As far as I’m concerned, shutdown as a scare tactic is losing its effectiveness.

Time to tell Trump? The insurrection is over and you can be the martyr and go to jail.

Trump's choice fails and will never be speaker:
For the first time in modern history, the majority’s nominee for Speaker has received less than 200 votes. He got 199.
Jim Jordan is making history!

With no speaker, all you have to do is get rid of Biden and Harris, and you'll have a chance at decent leadership. :)
