Media Bias
Re: Media Bias
Nygard is going through his trial. Sex trafficking unlawful confinement or some other shit that won't stick to his pals.
It sure would be awkward for media companies who were involved with him to investigate him too thoroughly. Wouldn't want his friends 'outed' for being in his circle.
It's almost like a pattern, where rich people get sex trafficking to politicians, then get convicted while their customers don't get investigated.
Gates was at Maxwell's island a few dozen times. Should make him a pariah, but instead, his stance on everything from diseases to politics is taken seriously.
Maybe some media is biased 'by force', and can't report on things because that's not really what they do. Certainly the case with any of the 'project mockingbird' ones.

Does your favourite trusted news source have ties to national intelligence communities?

Did your news source cover the Sam Bankman-Freid conviction? Or did they delay and downplay it?
It seems a fairly large story, with significant sums of money flowing in to FTX and then vanishing. But not before making big donations to political parties.

Yes, my local paper picked up the Reuters story and my feed has items from the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, and WAPO. It's hardly news that a company in the crypto business would give money to politicians.Cunt wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 2:48 pmDoes your favourite trusted news source have ties to national intelligence communities?

Do you have something against businesses exercising their freedom of speech as people under American law?

No, I don't have something against businesses doing it. But convicted fraudsters have a different calculus.
If the corrupt politicians got the money, I think it might be dangerous to the crook. He might get 'Epsteined', or 'MacAfeed'

Because they pay so handsomely to censor things from gullible rubes.
Speaking of which, this guy is more convincing than you.

The US government have done the following:
-Created and released a biological weapon that killed 7+ million people.
-Sent $200+ billion to fund the only Nazi military on Earth, and they lost.
-Weaponized media and social media to brainwash and censor the public, to cover up their crimes and attack their political opposition.
-Promoted harmful experimental injections to billions of people, that did not prevent transmission or disease, and harshly discriminated against those who questioned the safety or efficacy.
-Funded both sides of the conflict in the Middle East and influenced the slaughter of thousands upon thousands of innocent civilians on both sides.
-Destroyed every fabric of American society, ruined our cities, ruined our culture, ruined our academics, ruined our quality and way of life.
While the GOP and DNC are arguing over which war to fund next, I’m picking out which suit I’m gonna wear to their international military tribunals.
The People have had enough. Justice is all that matters now.

Re: Media Bias
People like Cunt find it a lot easier to imagine moustache twirling villains in secret underground bases with mysterious controlling powers than to accept that the social, economic, and political systems we live under, and the ideals and values that underpin them, are the conspiracy - in as much as these systems conspire to concentrate power in the hand of a few.
I think Cunt gets this at an intuitive level because he reproduces stories about how (the wrong kind of) controlling elites are making things worse. But like many people who the system treats like shit he still assumes that the ideals and values that underpin it are fundamentally sound - they're just being administered by the wrong kinds of people. This is an important but subtle point, but it nevertheless explains why people like Cunt believe that maintaining the continuity of power structures and systems that don't work in the interests of ordinary people is preferable to changing things in order to serve the interests of ordinary people. The greatest PR success of Power has been to frame fundamentally regressive social, political and economic ideas not only as essentially progressive, but as the only way to ameliorate the inevitable privations the system produces, and will continues to produce for as long as it stands.

Re: Media Bias
Why do you think that we are somehow supporters of large corporations, pharmaceutical or otherwise? The tobacco companies wrote the script for that, back in the day...
The fact that large companies always pay big money for favourable coverage (and for lobbying corporations) doesn't automatically mean that a given product of theirs is somehow tainted. You are probably angling towards an anti-vax stance by painting the corporations as evil liars, but the science is clear - vaccines save millions of lives, not just with covid but with a host of other diseases. The fact that they are manufactured by corporations who partake of the overall capitalist ethos (and can be criticised for aspects of that) does not change the science.
