Russia has forever been ruled by gangs. Now they are called politicians, but practically every politician is in it to gain wealth and prestige, and fuck the public. As far as I'm concerned, nuke Russia and Israel, and every country ruled by people who are in power by divine order. I call on aliens to exterminate the vermin infesting this planet.

Most people aren't going to disagree that it's Ukraine's right to defend themselves. The question is what you hope to accomplish here.

Putin is gambling that the west will become tired of supporting Ukraine, and then he can nibble more and more of its territory until he can achieve enough territory to call it a win...

So maybe they're both bluffing. But who's more likely to push ahead when called? I doubt we're prepared to commit to more than supplying weapons and guidance. Maybe that's enough.
