Missed my point. Election coming up soon - if Canadian voters agree with you, farewell Carney, and fair enough...Cunt wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 2:14 amHis godchild is Freelands kid. They go WAY back. I don't think it matters, in particular, which of the three colours are placed in charge this time around.
They are all run from somewhere outside of Canada. There is a fourth option, but he (I'm not even fucking joking) moved out of Canada to live in Florida, while acting like he is running a serious party here (PPC - Max Bernier).
I like the guy since he's a runner, but that isn't much either. Running is pretty buttery-soft in Florida weather...

The funny thing is that Brian might well say the same thing, from a totally different political perspective. For me, the differences between political parties in Western democracies may be small, given that they are all invested in maintaining the basic capitalist system, but those small policy differences may still mean real differences in the lives of most people, and so are worth a discriminating choice in voting...

A question for you, Cunt. It is abundantly clear that you favour the politics of Trump in a general sense - fair enough. But, as a Canadian, what is your reaction to Trump's many times repeated claim that Canada should be the 51st state of the USA?
One would assume that an agreement with Trump's claim would make you a traitor to your native land...

so what, there's no law or party statute stating that the party leader has to be chosen from sitting MPs, actually, I'd be leery of a party with such statutes.

Re: All Things Canada Eh
It seems like his style, to say things at 100 and settle in 'the middle' for 50. I think it's called 'the big ask'. Anyway, it doesn't matter much to me, because the more interesting thing is the question it raises...
Who will he make his offer to? Will he buy it from King Chuck? Offer citizens money? Or just take over in a quiet, corporate way and give nothing at all to King and Citizenry?
Who is he supposedly negotiating with, in this?
Lots of things would. You should see the boiling hate one gets for simply expressing that they don't consent to feminisms (or communisms, or anyisms)

Anti-feminism, anti-communism, or anti-anyism is still an 'ism'.

not 'anti', I just don't consent to it anymore. So like if someone starts on the 'women have a wage gap' baloney, I am dismissive, and don't take it seriously.Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 3:56 pmAnti-feminism, anti-communism, or anti-anyism is still an 'ism'.
This has the benefit of allowing me to take individual issues seriously, while still laughing my ass off at feminism when it looks silly.

Re: All Things Canada Eh
I would bet that Trump supporters in Canada are lying very low at the moment, with the vast majority of Canadians very angry with Trump's disrespect for their national status.

Re: All Things Canada Eh
I can believe that. Between Trump's tariffs and his 51st state idiocy, Canadians have every right to be pissed.

Annexation will never happen. Trump may not have thought it through, but you know Thune and Johnson have done the math and know that Canada as a state would politically be another California, having a huge impact on the Electoral College. Since Congress admits new states, that's not happening.
