It's a helluva shadow. It's hard to see how Dweezil will ever be more than a footnote to Frank. Dweezil can match his old man in terms of guitarmanship but matching him as a composer is asking far more. To hear Frank's music performed by someone that understands it as fully as his son and with a band that is as tight, proficient, and as obviously loving every minute of every performance, as any that Zappa Snr. assembled, is an incredible experience. As long as Dweezil is happy to tour with his dad's music, I am more than happy to pay to see him.
