Several serious gamers and one hilarious noob

Might only be funny to people who have played WoW at some point in the past. I'll share anyway because it made me giggle.

I played it on and off a few years ago but haven't touched it in ages. Then I started EVE which is a lot more serious, but got bored.

LEEEEEROY!

Never got on with Eve. I tried it for a week or two, but I just seemed to be spending all my time in a tiny spaceship mining asteroids. Perhaps I wasn't patent enough.

I know exactly what you mean. I was a pirate though, so my time was a little more interesting than mining ("give me the money before I pop you"), but people who've played for a long time are involved in massive real-time tactical wars and it's really quite impressive. It's just such a time-hog though, which is the main reason I don't play any MMORGs now.

EVE does have one great thing going for it: Cut-throat gaming. PVP fighting and PVP industry/economics. So many of the MMORGS are nice and safe, but in EVE you could be blown to bits by someone just because they were bored. And that makes pirating a real threat.

A perfect example of why I always solo-ed when I played WoW. Far too many idiots playing the game.

I've never played it but that made me laugh, the other guys are taking it too seriously.

Our great war is a spiritual war.
Our great depression is our lives.

Same. I chatted with friends while playing, but mostly solo-ed. Then I realised I was paying a subscription to play a game with millions of idiots, and then avoid them. That was enough for me.

I had no idea how old the video was. I only saw it for the first time yesterday.

This has become an internet phenomena. If one fucks up in a game it is quite often referred to as "Pulling a Leeroy".

:hehe: Thanks for that.

Just shows you that although I played the game, I wasn't really involved with the community at all. Didn't visit any WoW websites or anything. I looked him up and apparently he's a bit of a celebrity now.

I've played about 2 hours with a free account from trywarcaft.com. I just never got into it.

Never liked the combat system. The graphics were too cutesy. Most people on the PvP server I played on were idiots.

I prefer my Fantasy RPGs to be solo. (Dragon Age:Origins or Oblivion, for example.)
