Can music charts be recalimed......

Post by Achtland » Fri Dec 11, 2009 5:21 pm

i assume that there is someone who has already started this thread today but hey.

as the crapy x-factor has been number one at christmas in the uk (i am sure there is similar in usa, africa, asia and oceania(?)) for five years, whether anybody else had joined the campain to buy/download (as of sunday) the 'rage against the machine' track 'killing in the name of' as a way of knocking which ever fool the high trousered bsatrd has backed for this years number one slot?

There is a group on face book about it (i can't find), and a few on-line papers have also picked up the campain

Plenty of examples of bands regaining #1 slot, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Led Zepplin etc. If they release a new album after a hiatus the can get back to the top.

I just heard that cunt Cowell bleating on about this campaign and saying that it would "deprive the x-farce winner of much deserved exposure", that it was "childish and mean-spirited" and other bollocks. As if whichever non-entity wins has a gawd-given right to the number one spot.

Fuck, I hate that bastard and the generic, bland, talentless chart-fodder that his worthless show churns out. Life is far too short to suffer mediocrity.

I am not a great fan of RATM and I already have the track but I will be doing my small bit anyway.

It gets number one because people make it number one.
As much as I loathe all this pop shit, decent music has had it's era, and it's been and gone. Let it be that way. I like introducing young ladies to a side of rock they've never seen, and then another side to the kind of rock they thought it was.

It's a numbers game. You can only vote once per buyer. And the music charts might actually cater to the masses.
