I still don't see why Josh didn't just lift the code straight from /. That's exactly what they said they wanted the new front page to be; an article posted with responses to it and the ability to respond to a specific reply, all in tree form. I mean, fuck, the slashcode is free to use as it is and the system is proven to work.
