It's true. I loved Badmotorfinger, found Superunknown okay, and then I saw them live and never played anything from them again.

Had a similar experience, concert complete with 35 minute (really) guitar "solo" by Kim Thayil that was just him creating feedback/humping his guitar and Chris Cornell in a rotten mood not saying a word to the audience except "fuck you" before walking off of a short set. I actually felt bad for Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd who played the best they could all things considered, and stayed around after a while even after the other two divas left the stage in a huff.

Anyway, I still listen to the old albums because they're great. But it did make me avoid them for a bit.

That entire genre, in fact, is a young man's game, and all those bands from yesteryear should have some self-respect and just hang it up. They look ridiculous out there. It's very age-inappropriate. This applies to bands like Megadeth, Slayer,

Piss off and leave it to a bunch of whiny cunts who play emocore or whatever the fuck its called now.

Its ageless they might be a bunch of old men or whatever but the music is still the same and makes it worthwhile to pay $100 to see them and $30 to buy there album because there stuff is still not there best not the stuff which attracted legions of fans and still is played nay thrashed out by plenty of fans but its insanely better than bullet for my valentine (they deserve a bullet for the lot of them) or whatever crap is coming out these days.

Give me world painted blood and the end game anyday.
