Can't be arsed looking for it on youtube, but the song about a drowning dog, Shannon.
And the one about truckers, teddy bears and a little boy who life hates.
And Rolf Harris, everybody just loves Rolf Harris

I have a real, visceral hatred of this song:

I can't even figure out half of the lyrics in that stupid song!
Something about douches and rulers in the night...........

It's one of the funniest songs ever written if you study the words a bit. The slang terms are beautiful.Ian wrote:I have a real, visceral hatred of this song:

Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.

I thought the song posted a couple above, "Granddad," was sad and beautiful
Anyway, I was going through some of my stuff and discovered a list I had made twenty years ago of albums I wanted to get. Some of them, The Cars, Candy-O, and Jethro Tull, "A", I understand. Some of the other stuff on the list like Fine Young Cannibals and Enya, leave me scratching my head somewhat puzzled. But, yeah, I guess I liked them back then. But then some of the other stuff I didn't even remember at all. Like, not at all. It's strange that I have no recollection of it, and yet apparently felt so strongly about it at the time that I'd included it on my must-have list. And this is one one them:

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.
