I was unfortunate enough to hear this on the radio today and I was struck by how dreadful a singer Sheena Easton really is.
I mean, forget for a second that the song is complete pap and just focus on her performance. You can hear her straining to reach notes because her voice becomes nasal (like that donkey Kylie Minogue), and she completely loses the plot at this line:
Her voice breaks and she is so obviously flat - I don't know why they didn't just transpose it lower, but the notes in that song shouldn't remotely stretch even a mediocre soprano. It's shocking that such a high profile song has been produced so badly and that no one seems to have pulled the talentless woman who sings it.The passions that collide in me
