Your spies have reported that the neigbouring kingdom has dispatched assassins to do away with the King. In response to this the Royal Guard have all donned matching armour to the king to conceal his identity.
There has been a hitch in the plan however. The lifeless body of the Captain of the Royal Guard has been discovered in the stables. As the numbers of the protective group are still the same it must be assumed that one of your number is an assassin. The Royal Guard all know the identity of the King and must prevent it from becoming known to the assassin.
The assassin has one shot only to kill the king which can be taken at the point of his death or at any point before. Should he wish to attack before it will also lead to his death as the royal guard will hack him to pieces when he reveals his true identity.
Should any further assassins make their way into the castle other members of the Royal Family may need to be protected.
This mafia variant doesn't have a night round. The round ends as soon as a single player has the majority of votes for their execution.

It will be starting straight after Zigmens game if there are enough signups. I need 10 minimum but would prefer 15

Friends, Assassin games are a wonderful variation of Mafia. This game is part of the MiniMafia series, and will be run by Ghat (Thanks Ghat!) You're all automatically in unless you sign out. Game start time is under discussion, but we will have this game or another quick Mafia within a day or so, so nobody will get withdrawel symptoms.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea.
