game start and end times

game start and end times
I've noticed in a few recent games that time zones really play into things, especially at the end of the game day. I'd like to find a way to mitigate that. If you play regularly, could you indicate in this thread the earliest and latest times you'd be able to check the game on an ordinary day? To help me process the info, it would best if you provide the times in GMT. If you can't do that, I'll convert everything to GMT when I crunch the numbers.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'm thinking about changing my game times to 24/12.

I think this is a good idea as it gives time for every one to read the thread and have input.Zigmen wrote:I'm thinking about changing my game times to 24/12.
I don't think you will find a start and end time that works for everyone, but this allows for every one to have input.
Re: game start and end times
I think 24/12 is the fairest way all round too. It makes the games last longer but gives everyone a chance to get involved

Re: game start and end times
even with a 24/12 schedule, the time(s) the game days end affect how many players can usually be around in the hour or so before nightfall. It's a critical time some days.

Good idea ... I prefer the 24/12 times .. Start and end times are not an issue for me when the days are 24 hours long.
no fences
Re: game start and end times
I think with 24/12 the game times should suit the GM. If players really want to be about for nightfall at endgame they can always set an alarm. The GM has to be around without fail at nightfall and daybreak throughout the game. With 24 hours to post there is no excuse for anyone to be inactive in the thread. Don't beat yourself up about it oblivion and pick your times to suit yourself

Re: game start and end times
my perfect times are from 1am to 6 am gmt. but the times you use oblivion are fine with me as long as we do the 24/12. I miss the end of half the days, but usually we have everything worked out by then the night before anyway.

Most times are fine. Some better than others. Depends what's on at work.

Re: game start and end times
Sorry, but I've got the ability of a turnip to work out GMT. It's currently 10am here... times that I can be online vary, but the window of 6am-10pm lets me get online if I absolutely have to (that's -4 hrs from now to +12 hours from now).
24/12 does seem fairest

Take off one hour from your time and then change your am to pm or vice versa.
