THE USUAL RULES ARE IN PLACE:

No private communications unless your role PM indicates otherwise.

Do not post your role PM or other GM communication. It's ok to paraphrase your role PM in the game thread.

No zombie talk.

No editing posts.

MECHANICS:

The game days will be 24 hours long and the nights will be 12 hours long.

Day 1 starts at 7 AM GMT/2 AM ET Monday and ends at 7 AM GMT/2 AM ET Tuesday
Day 2 starts at 7 PM GMT/2 PM ET Tuesday and ends at 7 PM GMT/2 PM ET Wednesday

and that cycle will repeat until the game ends.

Night actions are due at least 1 hour before the game day starts. Night actions that I don't receive will be lost, not randomized.

Who are you? I often see you lurking in the mafia threads, but never playing..

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Sorry ... The put up or shut up comment was a bit of a facetious in-joke, relating to a recent Ratskep moderation issue. Of course you are welcome to spectate .. and sign up to play a game whenever you're inclined.

:td: Charlou

I rarely bother my pretty little head with ratskep forum politics, so the joke did pass me by, yes - no worries.

Now you've broken this game (I bet it was MZ's fault) and the one on ratskep is almost blood-free. Where is a girl to get her fix???

ooooookay! Well that was fun. I've made a bunch of changes to the game design so that whatever info you had from your previous role PM is useless and potentially misleading. I've added and subtracted some town and scum roles, added and subtracted some characters, changed some of the safe claim names, and changed some of the unexplained mechanics just in case you thought you knew something. :ninja:

Then I regenerated the random sequence of player-to-role mapping.

I'm about to start sending out new role PMs. Hopefully I won't fuck it up this time!

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.
