I'm closing this game thread. I'll send out new role pms in a couple of hours and then will start a new day 1 thread.
I'm really sorry guys.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Star Trek TNG MARK 2 - Day 1 (Deja Q)

Jean-Luc! So lovely to see you again. Oh, don't give me that look, you know you're my favorite human - every time I feel like just wiping your miserable insect-like species out of the universe, I think of all the fascinating conversations we've had and I just can't go through with it. That's why I'm giving YOU the chance to play this little game, and demonstrate once and for all that humans aren't totally pathetic and worthless!
I have taken the liberty of reconfiguring your holodeck for this game. You and your crew are locked inside with a few of your worst enemies. Not so bad, you think? Think again. They all look exactly like you. A whole ship's worth -- and MORE! -- of you, my little martinet! We won't need those silly little safety overrides preventing anyone from being killed, will we?
if you humans can simply demonstrate enough intelligence to tell your enemies from your friends, I'll let you go. I'm rooting for you, Jean-Luc - I really am.

There is still plenty of time to think.
So I will do that.

I think you should come forward with a bit more than that, or we will have nothing to "think" about. FoS for evasiveness even before you have made any posts.Gallstones wrote:There is still plenty of time to think.

Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.
