Right, quickly.
I just think those three seem fluffy. I doubt they are all fluff and their may even people a couple of people on a bit of a high after the glorious win from yesterdays game which is making them more boisterous, which is why I would rather see how they develop rather than vote now. Unfortunately that's not an option today which is why I want to opt out of the vote today.
Right, off for a shower and shave. Will be back in about 20 mins, quickly, before leaving.

I'm back for now. I think I've done all I can for the moment.Uselesstwit wrote:got a reason for that higgs?
for that matter, oblivion would you care to join the game?
Irre nice to see you back in a game, but do you have any thoughts on others reactions so far or are you just waiting for mono?
I'm not sure I'm buying irre's ratskep fluffiness explanation.
My thoughts so far
I used to think that Ghat played a less agressive game when he's scum compared to his town game, but recent games have undermined that impression.
Charlou's recent early games have been fairly distant and this game seems to follow that pattern.
Normal doesn't appear to be scum hunting to the degree he does when he's town.
Higgs' day 1 participation has also been pretty low lately so today doesn't look out of the ordinary.
So, a bunch of people are playing the game they seem to play whether they are town or scum. A bunch of other people are no shows or low-shows. And a couple people look to me like they are playing a different game from their usual town game. Irre has a bit of a bandwagon going.
So, I'm going to pressure vote the other anomolous player.

I frankly don't know how to respond to the pressure. I've voted for Irre, and so far it seems like an ok choice. Apart from that there are several people who are talking about fluff today. It is very convenient, and I think one of the fluff hunters might be scum. Gut feeling, as usual.oblivion wrote: So, I'm going to pressure vote the other anomolous player.

So I've got nothing much more to say at this moment

Didn't realize the game had even started until this afternoon. If Blip were here she could count our posts and give us some really info to dig into.

Re: Simpsons Day 1
We haven't had a jester in a game that I can recall, but with a fairly significant character in this flavor a clown it's not a huge stretch to expect one. On the other hand, it's so obvious a possibility maybe Zigmen intentionally left it out. Sort of like my not making one of the doctors the protector role in the ST game.Don't Panic wrote:OK, and where has the suspicion of a jester come from? We haven't had one in a game yet.Normal wrote:That was me considering who he might be in Springfield were he to be in the "jester" role. I guessed Krusty, but it doesn't seem likely for a jester role.Don't Panic wrote:Yeah, usually me if I'm playing.Uselesstwit wrote:doesn't irre usually find one person to put a vote on then really amp up the pressure? She does seem to be off her normal game.
Normal, where did Irre say she was Krusty? I can't find that post.Normal wrote:Irre: Are you jestering? I can't see Krusty having a win condition that included his death, so I'm going to go ahead and vote for you no matter how much you seem to pine for lynching

I should have reread the thread from the start instead of where I left off given how distracted I've been.Normal wrote:I frankly don't know how to respond to the pressure. Normal's play looks more townish than I I thought, now that I've reread.

I don't believe twinkie would pick a scum game to change up her style so much.
Mono's one post about being back from court and then disappearing seems a bit off, though.

I don't understand why there is so much talk about Irre & fluff.
I thought she was just joking around. I think there has been too much looking into something that may not be there.

Re: Simpsons Day 1
A lot of people giving valid reasons for absence. Hence only 3 pages.
Normal is quite active, which is a since change. Seems townish.
Oblivion is applying gentle pressure, seems genuine, always does.
Nothing from Charlou since my last look, so my impression hasn't changed.
Ani, calmness personified. Alarm bells.!
Irre, a couple of fluffy posts, which I don't read much into tbh. I'll be looking carefully at the bw.
Callan, one post, a vote and back later
DP, always skates through seemlessly
That's just from the memory of a skim read.
I'm going back to count the votes, as I was really only joking about starting a spreadsheet!

I wouldn't mind zig clarifying what happens in the case of a tie and the role of the mayor in that situation. There was some confusion in previous games. I'm more inclined to have my mayor vote on a clear candidate so that their actions can be better interpreted.
