Re: McDonald's Day 2
I went back through day 1 of the last few games that Irre has played.
Monopoly (town) day 1 voted Jynx, day 2 voted Feck, Squid
Carnivale (day 1 - was still town) voted Mono, but not based on participation - based on Mono's jumping onto a bandwagon)
Simposons - (indie) Mono "just for sport", then a revenge vote on denny.
She skipped a couple games, and I don't really think games older than 2-3 months are that relevant.
What stands out to me is that she's put down an easy to justify vote at the beginning of the day and isn't doing a lot of digging and questioning of other players other than obvious stuff like how much they have posted (or not).

Re: McDonald's Day 2
Also, gib and higgs' concerns about Squid resonate. I agree he's not coming off terribly townish. And, I have reservations about Callan as well.
Re: McDonald's Day 2
I hadn't looked much at Squid before now - I find the puppyish bouncy n00b stuff somewhat distracting and tend to skip over it.
I will go and rectify that now.

Re: McDonald's Day 2
So, the Squid-
Concurs with my own grave doubts about DP.
Votes DP, then decides - suddenly - that he can't possibly be scum (where did that come from?) and unvotes.
Votes Aza instead (easy bandwaggon by this point) and fosses Feck over his self-voting for mayor.
Votes Gib for mayor, on the (false) reasoning that because he's been scum a few times, he couldn't possibly be scum now.
The error of this reasoning is swiftly pointed out to him.
Then we have a long spiel about how he wanted a break after the last game - when he was himself scum - but decided that as he was only a vanilla townie, he could probably manage to play as it would be so much less taxing a role for him.
I agree that he seems to be special hunting towards the end of Day One, and I observe that he is extremely interested in other people's win conditions.
His most recent post states that he's not really into this game at all - but he has posted quite a bit for someone who isn't really interested: considerably more than, for example, Mono.
I'd still like DP removed ideally, but I wasted my lynch vote yesterday as there was no support. I don't have strong enough feelings about anybody else right now. I'll check back in later tonight.
ah, crosspost with Gib, who has voted Squid. Higgs accuses me of being followy, so I guess I'd better not vote for Squid, huh? Maybe I will though. Need food first.

meh. I feel like my case against Irre is pure meta - her vote reasons in prior games, and the mutual (and therefore partially my responsibility) brakes on over the top sledging after the last game. this has the earmarks of me trolley-tracking.

But just because you want to be right about irre doesn't mean you aren't.
I am always more suss of irre when she is agreeable. When she's spitting fire, at least you know where you are.

If this game was a more conventional design, you'd be lined up in the cross-hairs by now, because you are being wishy washy. But, you're one of several doing that so far. This game seems really passive.
Mantis' vote on me seems very defensive, given my observations of her yesterday. As scum she'd prefer to be more wishy washy but she was called on that last game. Forced gameplay change?
As for my vote on mono, well what are we to do? We now have two players that are not helpful to town in this game (mono, DP due to role claim). I'd be curious to see squid or gib or higgs under some pressure, we might get more out of them. Until then, my vote stays. Oblivion is coasting, but then so am I.
Re: McDonald's Day 2
Not much happening since I was last here. Passive is indeed the word, irre.
Squid does seem pretty dodgy when you look at his postings, but I'm still inclined to stick to my guns about DP. I don't think it's trolley tracking. As irre points out, we have Mono and DP as definites in the unhelpful-to-Town stakes, and no-one else but Squid looking suspect - and even his erratic behaviour could still be explained away by n00biness!
I'm going to stand by my doubts.
Vote DP
And so to bed.

Re: McDonald's Day 2
I'd be happier to vote Squid or Mono If I hadn't already assured my self that Callan was an indie ,at least . And I would rather Dp wasn't lynched because he has answered more of my questions than anyone else . Vote Calln
I'd like to vote mono ,because I always think non-posting pub hitting while checking in to have a look........ is scummmy as fuck

Guys, splitting the vote too much is bad for town, it means scum can steer a BW onto a town player.
Far too much of this game has been spent debating my alignment instead of looking for scum so I think that needs to change.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.
