Re: McDonald's Day 2
Feck, I've gone back and looked at Callan's posts in the day 1 thread, and although I can agree that she is quite possibly not town.
I keep coming back to:
win condition/alignment --> motivations --> behaviors.
DP's behaviors map back. nicely.
This is a small game. We're fortunate to still be at 10 overnight, but assuming 1 lynch and 1 NK for the couple days, if this were a conventional game the best we could hope for in terms of game length is a 4-1 endgame on day 4. But, with all the game design question marks we may not have that many days. Or we may have more.
I am not willing to lynch DP yet, if at all. I'm not willing to get rid of someone who is playing like he's town when other players are not playing like town, or aren't playing at all.
So, it's coming down to Squid or Callan at the moment, with Irre still worrying me because she's Irre.
And I swear to god if I'm ever in a game with Mono and he contributes nothing more than he did yesterday, I will day 1 lynch vote him. I'm strongly tempted to anyway.

DP, when town, it is never a good idea to self-vote.Don't Panic wrote:Guys, splitting the vote too much is bad for town, it means scum can steer a BW onto a town player.
Far too much of this game has been spent debating my alignment instead of looking for scum so I think that needs to change.
Vote DP
Don't waste this game day.

Also, the only person fretting about your aligment is looking pretty indie at the moment. consider the source.Don't Panic wrote:Guys, splitting the vote too much is bad for town, it means scum can steer a BW onto a town player.

I can see feck and oblivion's point about callan, I pointed out the same thing yesterday here. I would like her to have the chance to out under pressure of being lynched, though, and I think she won't be back for the rest of the game day.

Re: McDonald's Day 2
Scum will probably not kill DP, since so many of us have suspicions about him. So his continued presence will just keep those suspicions going. But, if he is telling the truth, why not just put those suspicions aside, and concentrate them somewhere else.Callan wrote:Not much happening since I was last here. Passive is indeed the word, irre.
Squid does seem pretty dodgy when you look at his postings, but I'm still inclined to stick to my guns about DP. I don't think it's trolley tracking. As irre points out, we have Mono and DP as definites in the unhelpful-to-Town stakes, and no-one else but Squid looking suspect - and even his erratic behaviour could still be explained away by n00biness!
I'm going to stand by my doubts.
Vote DP
And so to bed.
Because - if he is telling the truth, we lynch him and lose a town.
Irre, I thought we went over that no one is too sweet too sledge ! My vote isn't a defensive vote or anything like that. But, I'm just saying that if you were scum, that putting a vote on mono makes a lot of sense.

we are not voting DP guys

I'm inclined to agree with you about Mono though, he does the whole silent lurker thing as scum that I tend to do.
I can't get a good read on Callan because she's too focused on me and knowing I'm town skews my reading of her posts.
Irre seems very nice this game, that's scarier than aggressive Irre.
Feck... Dunno, probably an Indie, views as town, might have town compatible win condition.
Squid, think cheerleading is the mafia term, not very townish to read.
Zigmen, Scum beyond any shadow of a doubt, needs to be day one lynched from now on.
Gib, more active today than yesterday, will probably be more readable tomorrow if he keeps that up.
Higgs, got nothing.
Oblivion, Seems town, or town compatible, but like Irre, playing far too nice compared to usual.
Mantis, after the last game I don't know, I didn't pick up on Mantis at all then, seems townish but meh.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

By this I mean he comes across as town, not that he views as town.Feck... Dunno, probably an Indie, views as town, might have town compatible win condition.

Problem is, we don't know who will be around tomorrow, and we don't know they'll apply some pressure. Though I think whoever survives the night probably will - there are too many people who have suspicions for none to last the night.irretating wrote:I can see feck and oblivion's point about callan, I pointed out the same thing yesterday here. But, if we wait on Callan, then for me it's going to be Squid or Mono. Squid left more of a trail yesterday. And he's been silent so far today.

Re: McDonald's Day 2
I'd rather vote mono than Squid but Squid does seem scummy Callan I sort of getting the idea that even though I know she isn't town I 'd rather not push for her lynch .
I'm not voting DP If he fucked us all with this miller claim then he deserves to win . He should stop self voting it's bollocks .

Re: McDonald's Day 2
Hm. I don't think this is right. I'm going to look at Squid's posts again.
He was asking a lot of questions - like what's DP's win condition? But I see that as getting down to the bottom of the DP conundrum.
