Ratz Drama Mafia game thread

I would like to hear opinions, see some scum hunting, and apply pressure before we rush into electing a mayor. I'll vote to elect whomever shows the most merit on the side of the town based on individual gameplay.

On that note I have never played such a strictly timed game before. I am also at a loss for any meta arguments being made, but am doubting they hold any real weight this early on.

Hi Gonzo. With the spread of timezones, it's impossible to get all the info we'd really need to make the best mayor decision. I vote for who I want viewed.

whoo. this should be interesting. TR and Ratz style mafia have melded a bit over time. FF mafia is a very different game, sort of the way the game is played at mafiascum.net, but more cerebral. Aza said it's like playing with Ents.

I agree though, that's it's likely that nelli wouldn't mayor vote Charlou right off the bat if they were in it together. Last game, gib tried to slyly sneak a mayor vote in. This is a bit more obvious, in nelli's case.

And, on the subject of ping... gib's first post asking nelli what she thinks of DP's post, rather than offer his own opinion... it's a nice easy way for scum to slink in, by asking a question, appearing helpful but not offering anything substantial

true. he did a lot of that in the Monopoly game.

I've been thinking on both Irre's and gib's early posts, as well as Feck's comment about DP not usually posting in the early part of Day 1. Right now, gib pings the most strongly because he has a recent track record of asking questions without offering substantial opinions when he's scum.

I didn't say or mean I trust her not to be scum in this game. I merely meant that if she is town, she is a good scum-hunter (in my experience - both games I played she was town and good at scum-hunting).

No matter how well someone has played as a townie in past games, it does not translate into being worthy of a mayorship under these circumstances. Voting for someone who hasn't even posted yet is detrimental to the town. Why not hold off until you can get a read on her in this game?
