That worked in your favour, I think. I kept thinking that there was no way you would hide right out in the open like that.
Exactly! Too damn obvious ... oh, the irony

Oh, please. I told you that you were going to throw the game with that, "Let's just lynch the uncleared players, regardless of the character of their posts".

I think I am just going to stalk you for a while and quote from that link on wifom.

To be fair, I think most of the wifom of the last couple of days was generated by my musings which, aside from considering the Bolero/SK possibility (and rejecting it as too obvious), all turned out to be dud ideas.

Never played a game before with an SK that couldn't be seered and to be fair Bolero was acting less scummy than both you and Charlou who spent a lot of the last two days confusing the issue and then suspecting me for saying it was simple ..and for not suspecting UT .... oh and for saying there had been no recruiting ..and for saying there wasn't another faction ..... oh and for saying I could imagine that the SK was an Elf ..... I picked the wrong bloody Elf I've already apologized for that .

thanks for the great game, ob and gib

It was hilarious watching town cannibalise itself, taking out the outed and uncontested players :hehe:

Hey, we had Bolero in our townish lynching clutches and I waffled at the last minute! Sorry about that guys...

And Charlou, I think I started the wifom on that...but shhhh...don't tell Feck. :whisper:

I picked the wrong bloody Elf I've already apologized for that .
:smooch:

I think everyone played really well, actually. Town got lucky eliminating scum in short order, then the specials did well to stay in the game so long and contributed to keeping it going right up to a very interesting (and as Bolero said, rather stressful) finale.

The more I think about it, the more I'm impressed by the work that went into creating this game. Absolute win, right down to the bittersweet pic of our tragic lovers :date: at the end

I've seen a views-as-town or can't-be-viewed SK a few times, and have been both sorts of SKs at least once. In one game, I viewed as town and there was no vig, so everyone assumed my kills were vig kills. Which had the scum looking high and low for me. I got to end game, but got the wrong player lynched and lost that one.

In this game, the sk wouldn't be mistaken for a vig. From my perspective, which is not a player perspective, bolero dropped several sk tells, and I really didn't expect her to make it this far, much less to win.

I'm wondering if SK tells aren't on folks radars for some reason.

Outstanding game and outstanding play by Bolero. Talk about hiding in plain sight for all those days.

I waffled a bit on the game design when it looked like the sign ups were going to top out at about 15.

So, I took out the inventor role and made Two Edge the don and Winnowill the SK. when the numbers went up again, I went back to my original design with Two Edge a town-compatible indie, Winnowill the don, and Rayek the SK.

When I looked over the game balance one last time, I decided I had too many town specials and made one more player vanilla town. In my original design, Cutter's vote counted as two votes. I still had too many specials, though, and probably should have done away with one of the one-shot vig roles. That inbalance was part (though not all) of the reason the scum team went down like bowling pins. But mostly they were caught out by some excellent scum hunting on the parts of several players, including both one-shot vigs.

I'll go back through the threads and point them out tomorrow. I don't remember which days some of them occurred. I should have kept track as the game was going on!
