actually, I call shenanigans, gonzo. you were quite comfortable putting a lynch vote on my in the last TR game when piles of players hadn't yet checked in. you thought the mayor votes for me came in too quickly or something.

what is different about this situation?

In my opinion the first several pages are good ammo for scum to sort through a pick a townie to frame. I'm not eager to build a wagon against anyone until I see how others react to what has happened.

This again. Do you think I live my life doing the same things over and over? How boring an existance that would be. :ddpan:

you said it makes you uncomfortable. a similar situation didn't make you uncomfortable last week.

so what is it that makes you uncomfortable this time?

Gonzo wrote:Just don't get too frantic when you get voted for. One vote won't go anywhere if it's not built on anything, so it's better to let Irre's vote against you be seen as it is. The more you over react - the more a flimsy case will seem viable to town players.
It is not that I am frantic but I guess my posting style is a bit dramatic. It doesn't seem that way to me, but I guess it appears that way to other people. I really don't hold grudges in games and assume for the most part that other people don't either. But I think that it is funny when people joke about it. Does that make sense?
I maintain that I am a scum magnet when I am not playing scum.
Interesting. Do you think it's because you are newer to the game and are more prone to react the way they want you to?
Probably, although this is my 7th game so I am not exactly a noob, am I. I am clearly not on the same experience level as you guys but I do not want to misrepresent myself.
And the revenge voting from Irre comment is from the last game we played where she was left alive. It was a poor attempt at banter, but I was genuinely curious as to what she had to say.
I wouldn't put too much weight in prior games. Chances are, most actions here have nothing to do with past games. To dwell on them could apper to be scumtell, in my opinion.
I wasn't dwelling, I was attempting to joke.

But, zigmen is standing out, with his OTT rationale to vote gonzo.
Whatever Irre.

This looks like revenge voting too. Or is it because I am suspicious of your scummates?

Isn't it a bit early to play the town paranoid?

revenge voting?
Uhm...did I vote for anybody? I think not.
that's not what I meant. You accused irre of revenge voting. revenge for what?
diva, I would like an answer please. revenge for what?

That's a better question. To be honest I don't feel confidant in my reads (and, by the way, my vote at TR was throw down and nothing more - it wasn't at all confidant). Look at the players involved who haven't posted much yet compared to the few that have. Praying, Athene, Adenosine, and ksen I've as much confidance in reading as I do you and Irre - which is no much at all. If ever I vote for you as a townie, it's because I am intimidated by you as a player. If I weren't, I'd vote for you as mayor right away, but the slim chance of you being Don fucks with me.

I already answered this, Ob. I was referring to the last game we played on Ratskep and she was left alive. I was attempting to banter with her but I was also curious as to how she would answer.

that's interesting. you were the don in my first outing as scum in nearly a year. I was lynched on day 2. I'm not exactly uber scum, and you are in a better position to judge that than most players in this game.

I still think there is an undeniable and unquestioning element of trust for you held by a few players in part because of your history as a town player that makes you dangerous as scum. At the moment I think your town, but I'll make it known if and when I feel otherwise.

Excellent, I know three people here. Hi Irre and Oblivion.

I voted for a Mayor because when I last played a short game with a mayor, many years ago, the Mayor needed to be picked quickly. And it didn't matter who it was because a Mayor could be lynched just like everyone else. I picked Gonzo because I know him. If I was more sure who Oblivion was at the time I would have voted for her. Or even Irre.

I need to find a better skin to read this in so I can match posts to names easily. What do you all use?
Ignore me, I'm just here for the Mafia.

I use the poo-brown ubuntu standard skin. I like it.
divagreen wrote:Irre, why do you want me out of the way so quickly?
I don't revenge vote, ever. If I see someone acting scummy, I vote for them. If you're scum it's obvious why I want you out of the way.

Gonzo's talk of intimidation is making me nervous. I'm wondering if he's trying to earn trust cheaply.
