Re: Russian Roulette Day 1

Ok...so I just went through the thread tallying up the votes and I noticed something interesting about the timing and effect of Gonzo's mayor vote (and his vote on zigmen).

This formatting is going to suck...let me see how it works using the code tag.

The first name is who voted. the second name is who they voted for and the list is what the vote count looked like at that point.

Code: Select all

ob	irre	irre 1
irre	adenosine	irre 1 adeno 1
zigmen	athene	irre 1 adeno 1 athene 1
ksen	zigmen	irre 1 adeno 1 athene 1 zigmen 1
irre	gonzo	irre 1 athene 1 zigmen 1 gonzo 1
zigmen	gonzo	irre 1 zigmen 1 gonzo 2
ob	zigmen	zigmen 2 gonzo 2
irre	diva	zigmen 2 gonzo 1 diva 1
denny	gonzo	zigmen 2 gonzo 2 diva 1 ****
gonzo	zigmen	zigmen 3 gonzo 2 diva 1 ****
athene	zigmen	zigmen 4 gonzo 2 diva 1
Look at the two lines with the "****"

Gonzo voted zigmen, which put zigmen in the lead and voted himself mayor which made it a 1.5 lead if the mayor vote holds. That looks extremely tactical to me. I'm trying to decide if I'd make that move so early if I were scum. Probably. It would be less conspicuous than later.

I don't think we want Gonzo as mayor. I'm not going to mayor vote yet, but if he's in the lead toward the end of this game day, I'll be placing a mayor vote on someone.

Overall, I've had a town vibe going re gonzo, though I apparently suck at reading him. I'm not sure what to make of this. Zigmen has given me a serious scum vibe so far. this could be a bus, I guess. but I'd be more inclined to think that if one of them is scum the other isn't.

This also has me leaning town re denny, I guess.

Irre's bizarro vote-hopping is raising my eyebrow a little more seriously now.

I'm happy mwhere my vote is. I'm going to work and might miss nightfall, unless i get a break at 6, which is possible.

It looked to me like gonzo was just trying to save himself which by itself isn't necessarily scummy.

not necessarily, but it's awfully early to be worried about a 1 point vote lead if you're town.

Yes, she doesn't normally play like that town or scum.

Ksen, It's the self mayor vote that bothers me.
k, thanks denny. Are you thinking gonzo might be the don trying to get himself viewed and "cleared?"
That's possible Ksen unless your the Don. It just seemed funny how it went down.

I'd like to put a FOS on diva though for spending a lot of time posting about previous games. That's a good way for scum to be able to look active without actually saying anything.
yes and Irre did this too. And yes - I'm as well starting to respond as I go. Diva's posts looked more for real, with the explanation that she was trying to make a joke about last game.

I'm actually more comfortable with Gonzo speaking a lot. The TR game, I found him to be a bit detached, which is why he ended up getting day vig killed, I think was reasonable.

I am multi-tasking (and I am a shitty mult-tasker).

I am in the FF chatroom asking Liv questions about how to navigate that site (I think I got it now). I have gotten caught up in the banter, but I am still watching this thread. I will jump off there in a bit and give you all my undivided devotion.

I can't put my finger on it OB.
It's the same feeling I had when I lynch voted you in your last scum game.
It's a bit to early to tell though.
Could be the forced limiting of posts again? OB - are you trying to do that again for this game?

um...no. I'm not trying to limit my posts.

I haven't exactly been quiet this game, have I? I was a little burnt out last night. the assassins creed game took a lot out of me due to my role and mason/mentoring a n00b player.
